Princess Victoria to Reopen: Branson Pub Gets Lifeline

A pub once owned by billionaire tycoon Richard Branson is to reopen after it closed abruptly in June. The Princess Victoria on Uxbridge Road near Shepherd’s Bush in west London was suddenly shut after owners Affinity Bars and Restaurants pulled the plug on the popular gastropub earlier this summer. But the establishment which dates back to the early nineteenth century and was once renowned as a gin palace is set to get a news lease of life after the Three Cheers Pub Co. chain came to the rescue. The new owners have promised extensive renovations and a reopening date in November.
