The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting their third child, Kensington Palace has announced. The royal couple already have two children, Prince George, 4, and Princess Charlotte, 2. The Duchess is said to be suffering from severe Morning Sickness just as she did with her two previous pregnancies. She last appeared in public with Prince William and Harry at the White Garden in Kensington Gardens dedicated to the 20th anniverssary of the death of Diana, Princess of Wales.
The statement from Kensington Palace stated: “Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that the Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their third child.
“The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news.
“As with her previous two pregnancies, the Duchess is suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum.
“Her royal highness will no longer carry out her planned engagement at the Hornsey Road Children’s Centre in London today.
“The Duchess is being cared for at Kensington Palace.”
She had planned to do the school run on Thursday (7 September) when Prince George started his first day at Thomas’ Battersea primary school.
