FA Cup 2017: Chelsea’s Italian Connection & Why Arsenal are Wembley Kings

Gianfranco Zola, Gianluca Vialli, Roberto Di Matteo, Claudio Ranieri, Carlo Ancelotti, and now Antonio Conte you will struggle to find any other football team with a long association with Italian footballers and managers in the English game. The west London club even put up a mega banner at their home ground in Stamford Bridge gushing in Italian: GRAZIE [Translation: Thank you] to Conte for guiding them to the premier league title in his debut season.

He could achieve the double by adding the FA Cup trophy to his haul this season and join Ancelotti and Di Matteo who have both done the double. But he must get past their north London rivals Arsenal who are renowned FA Cup kings winning the trophy 12 times, joint record winners with Manchester United, more than any clubs in history. The Gunners won their first trophy in 1930 and the last in 2015. Manager Arsene Wenger has won the trophy six times.
