For the second time in as many years Victoria Road in the heart of Kensington is England’s most expensive residential street. Filled with beautiful period properties, it has an average house price of £8,006,000 according to latest research from Lloyds Bank. Just a short stroll from Kensington Palace it is right bang in the area speculators and estate agents like to describe as ‘super-prime’ central London. it is £7.2m dearer than the average price of a house in Cardiff on sale for £793,000. Kensington Palace Gardens in west London is UK’s most expensive street where every property is worth an average £42.6m over 150 times the national average value according to a new report by Zoopla, the property website. The 29 mansions on the gated street —which boasts residents including steel magnate Lakshmi Mittal, Russian Oligarch and Britain’s richest man Len Blavatnik together with compatriot Chelsea Football Club owner Roman Abramovich — is worth a combined £1.24bn. The Boltons in SW10, where a nine-bedroom detached house sold for £51m in April, takes second place, with average property values standing at £30.3m.
