How to be a Modern Estate Agent

Easy rider: A Modern House agent takes one of the bicycles for a spin around the block | MODERN HOUSE

Modern House, described as “an estate agent like no other” has jettisoned four wheels for two, and as if being purveyors of the most stylish and covetable homes in the land was not enough, it has acquired a fleet of bespoke bicycles for viewings across the capital to further burnish its green credentials.

A spokesperson for the post-war and modernist property specialists told WLT: “The bike is the culmination of our partnership with the independent bike store Freddie Grubb, and so it is a one-off, custom-made piece. We try and use our new bike or public transport as much as possible, however, sometimes we do have to use a car for those more rurally situated houses across the UK.

“We hope our new bike will illustrate the sustainable and elegantly-designed alternatives to the estate agents’ car.” Slow and sustainable wins the race.
